All It Takes Is One Encounter

I enjoy trying different restaurants. It only takes one encounter for me to know if I will return to the restaurant to experience another item on the menu. If I don't like the restaurant then I will not return. I'm like that with many things I encounter, especially things that take my time and money. If one encounter is horrible, I'm done. If one encounter is great, I will return for another encounter.

All it takes is one encounter with Jesus to change your life forever. When I had my first encounter with Jesus, I knew I would always have Him in my life. It takes more than one encounter to create continuous changes, but all it takes is one at a time to get on the right path.

Each encounter with Jesus should be life changing. I'm not talking about attending church every Sunday, I'm talking about your own personal time with God. What do you do when no one is around? There shouldn't always be a crowd of people around for an encounter with Jesus to occur.

God speaks all the time in different ways. The more encounters with Him, the more voice recognition will occur. The main way to recognize when God is speaking to you is if the spirit brings peace.

The Bible says, "You will know them by their fruit." Matthew 7:16. Jesus was teaching about false prophets. False prophets isn't just preachers but the false prophet that tries to speak to you in the your personal life. This is the blue print for how to have discernment when dealing with people and spirits. The more encounters you have with God, the easier it will be to recognize the correct fruit. You will know immediately if something is from God.

You must create the encounters with God. Seek God by reading His Word, praying, and meditating on thing above. Each encounter will be life changing.
