The beautiful singer Beyonce`had us all ready to "get in formation" with her song, "Formation" in 2017. I was listening to the song yesterday, while I was in my Beyonce` mood, and I was thinking this isn't just a physical thing, but we have to get our spiritual lives in formation.
The Bible says that God formed us in the womb and He knows us. He formed us with our purpose in mind. Throughout life circumstances happen or we make decisions that cause us to get out of formation with God. No matter what, God's grace is on your life and He is forming you to carry out the purpose He has for you.
Isaiah 49:5 ESV "And now the Lord says, he who formed me from the womb to be his servant, to bring Jacob back to him; and that Israel might be gathered to him— for I am honored in the eyes of the Lord, and my God has become my strength"
Jeremiah 1:5 says “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, and before you were born I consecrated you; I appointed you a prophet to the nations.”
Stay in formation with God then the purpose He has for you will manifest. When God formed us, He equipped us with everything we need for our purpose. When we receive Jesus as our Lord and Savior we are saying 'yes' to the awareness of who He created us to be. Saying 'yes' to Jesus is the beginning of the journey. A comforter, a helper, and a friend are given to us when we receive the Holy Spirit.
The Bible says in John 14:16-17, "And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another advocate to help you and be with you forever— the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be in you."
God is always with us. He is there in our struggles as well as triumphs. He is our GPS to life, but one hundred percent consistent and accurate, compared to the GPS. We trust a computer to direct us physically, therefore, we should trust God even more to direct us spiritually. We should trust Him ten times more then our navigation systems to direct us to the right things in our lives. The His Holy Spirit will always guide us correctly on the journey to our purpose.
Our number one purpose is to love God. Our second purpose is to love ourselves and others. We do this by using the gifts that we are naturally equipped with to serve God. We better ourselves so that our gifts become great, so we can help others.
Everyone has something in them that God wants to bring to the forefront. This something, also known as gifts, doesn't mean we have to famous, but maybe an executive assistant to a CEO, for example. It takes a very organized person to handle a lot of multi-tasking and whatever else the position requires. Everyone is not equipped to do this job. Administration is a gift. Working for someone with a high caliber is a gift. Also, the executive administrator will bring the Holy Spirit in the office. The atmosphere will change for the better because of this person walking in purpose with the Holy Spirit. This is just one example out of a plethora of gifts God blesses us with.
Whatever our gift, this is what God is going to use so He can bless others through us. We tap into our purpose by discovering t Some people run from it because it's not what they chose for themselves. However, the gift is where you will find your most happiness, so stop running and embrace it. Get in formation.
