What To Do When Transitioning Is Hard

Why is change hard? Why is transitioning hard? Change is good for us but why is it so hard? It's not good to stay at the same place for a life time. We are supposed to elevate, go from glory to glory. Why is it so hard?

I don't have the answer for this question, but I know how to make it through transitioning. I've transitioned many times in my life. As a matter of fact, I'm in the middle of another transition. I don't think we are ever done transitioning. I think if we were, life would be boring and we wouldn't see God's glory. I know I definitely want to see God's glory in my life and those around me, including everyone that reads my blogs.

When a change is hard it's good to find a balance of focusing on the end result or taking one day at time. For example, If I worry too much about the end result, I stress when it doesn't happen fast enough, then I'll want to quit. If I take it one day at time, some days I'm not going to feel like working on my transition and quit. The days when I am overwhelmed with the end result, I have to switch my mind set to taking it one day at a time. The days when one day at a time isn't working, I switch my mind set to looking at the future goal. You have to have the mindset that works best for you.

I depend on God for strength. I pray all the time for God to give me the strength to get through something, or resist something that I know isn't good for me. I focus on the scripture that states "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." Philippians 4:13. Another scripture in Philippians is 3:14 "I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus." These two scriptures help me transition and keep me going when change gets hard.

I hope this blog is encouraging to you to keep going through the transition. Don't quit. Stay focused on God's strength and God getting the glory out of your life. I pray this for you, in Jesus name. Amen.
